My Story

How it all started

From a young age, I obsessed over bedding. Catalogues came in the mail and I dreamed and fantasized about my next sheets, comforters, pillows. So it was no wonder my BFA project of my undergrad was textile design for sheets, deeply textured appliqué duvet covers and decorative pillows.

My journey to renewable…

Why? Because it makes sense to me. If our ancestors could create and make beautiful, vibrant textiles from natural resources, so can we.

Philosophy

People. That’s my philosophy. There is a person who raised the sheep to provide the wool. A person who started a business creating the buttons. A person who is changing textile dyeing for the good of the earth. These people have livelihoods, dreams, legacies to uphold and beauty to bring to us and the earth.

If I want to create and put these textiles into the world, I can’t do it unless I know and am trying my best to make sure they can given back to the world they came from. I am here to work with the earth and her inhabitants.

These are textiles made to be felt, given, and loved.

I’m inspired by color, pattern, texture and the flow of nature. These pillow designs and materials emulate the shapes abound in our world and the movement of the people within.
